Job Description

Montessori Lead Teacher — Lower Elementary, Grades 1-3 Life International Academy | Tampa, FL Full-Time | $45,000-$60,000 annually, based on experience and credentials
Hours:
7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. | 20 students | Full-time classroom assistant
Calendar Year:
Aug. 2026-May 2027 Lead a lower elementary classroom at a small Montessori school on a three-acre nature-based campus. Our program combines strong academics with gardening, outdoor learning, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and practical life skills. You'll join a collaborative team and have a meaningful voice in program development. Develop weekly lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and scope and sequence. Differentiate instruction to support individual learning needs and grade-level standards. Integrate hands-on academics, outdoor learning, sustainability, and practical life experiences. Maintain Montessori materials, student observations, records, and assessment data. Use

assessments to support student growth; training provided. Communicate professionally with families and collaborate with colleagues. Participate in school events, professional development, and team meetings. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education or a related field Montessori certification for ages 6-9/lower elementary: AMI, AMS, or an equivalent credential from a MACTE-accredited program Primary Credentials 3-6 Willing to train in Lower El. At least three years of teaching experience in Montessori or progressive education Strong understanding of multi-age learning, differentiated instruction, and classroom management Excellent communication and collaboration skills Passion for nature-based and experiential education Comfortable using Google Workspace and school technology tools Teacher certification, IB -PYP training, or PBL training or experience is a plus Worked at Public or charter school is a plus Must pass a background check Willing to provide three professional references from previous supervisors.
