An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our educational team. This role requires creativity, patience, and a commitment to nurturing the intellectual and social development of children. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Utilize various teaching methods and learning technologies to accommodate diverse learning styles. Assess student progress through standardized testing and other evaluation methods. Provide individualized support for students with special education needs. Foster literacy education by integrating reading and writing activities into daily lessons. Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of educational best practices. Collaborate with other educators to develop curriculum and instructional strategies. Skills Strong skills in curriculum development to create effective lesson plans. Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff effectively. Proficiency in learning technology to enhance classroom instruction. Attention to detail for proofreading educational materials and student work. Knowledge of literacy education strategies to support reading and writing development. Experience or training in special education practices for accommodating diverse learners. Background in childcare principles to ensure a nurturing classroom atmosphere. Ability to write clear, concise reports on student progress and classroom activities. Familiarity with Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus.
