Job Description
White Pine Charter School is seeking a Full-Time Upper Elementary Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year . White Pine Charter School is a STEM-focused learning community dedicated to fostering curiosity, academic growth, and strong student relationships. We are looking for an educator who values high-quality instruction, consistent classroom expectations, and collaborative professional culture. Application Requirements Interested applicants should submit: Resume Letter of introduction One personal and two professional letters of reference Completed application: https://www.whitepinecharterschool.org/about-us/employment/ Qualifications Hold or be eligible to obtain an Idaho Teaching Certificate K-8 Elementary Education Endorsement Bachelor's degree required Citizenship, residency, or valid work visa required Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred Successful candidates will demonstrate: Strong instructional practices Demonstrated effectiveness in classroom management and behavioral instruction Knowledge of curriculum and Idaho Core Standards Ability to integrate technology into instruction Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to establish and sustain a structured, positive learning environment Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism Who Thrives at White Pine Charter School Successful teachers at White Pine typically: Value structure, clarity, and consistent expectations Are confident classroom managers who view behavior as part of instruction Balance warmth with strong academic expectations Are reflective, adaptable, and solutions-oriented Enjoy collaboration and professional dialogue Are comfortable integrating technology and STEM-focused learning Major Duties & Responsibilities Instruction Design and deliver lessons aligned with Idaho Core Standards Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs Identify student learning needs and provide appropriate instruction Implement modifications and accommodations per IEPs and 504 Plans Develop assignments and assessments that promote analytical and critical thinking Prepare students for school, state, and federal assessments Manage instructional time effectively Classroom Environment & Student Expectations White Pine Charter School prioritizes classrooms that are: Structured, predictable, and academically focused Grounded in clear expectations and consistent routines Built on positive relationships and mutual respect Teachers are expected to: Establish and maintain strong behavioral norms Address student behavior proactively and consistently Partner with families and administration when challenges arise Professional Responsibilities Maintain accurate records as required by law and policy Participate in faculty meetings and collaborative planning Cooperate with staff in curriculum and instructional development Engage in ongoing professional growth Adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Idaho Teaching Profession Perform other duties as assigned Why White Pine Charter School White Pine offers: A supportive and collaborative staff culture Clear behavioral and academic expectations Strong administrative support A STEM-focused instructional environment Students who benefit from structure, consistency, and engaged teaching Employment Conditions All employees are required to undergo a criminal history check and fingerprinting.
