An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Michiana Christian Academy is seeking dedicated Christian educators to join our team for the following positions: 4th/5th Grade Teacher 1st Grade Paraprofessional Our mission is to provide an excellent, Christ-centered education that equips students to fulfill their God-given purpose while growing in their relationship with Christ. We are looking for individuals who love children, have a heart for Christian education, and desire to serve alongside a supportive team of believers. 4th/5th Grade Teacher Responsibilities Plan and teach engaging lessons aligned with Indiana State Standards. Integrate biblical truth into daily instruction. Create a positive, Christ-centered classroom environment. Assess student progress and communicate with parents. Collaborate with colleagues and intervention staff. Participate in daily staff devotions, prayer, and professional development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Valid Indiana teaching license (or ability to obtain one). Strong classroom management and communication skills. Experience teaching elementary students is preferred. Knowledge of Science of Reading is a plus. 1st Grade Paraprofessional Responsibilities ($14-$16 depending on experience) Support the classroom teacher with instruction and daily classroom activities. Work with individual students and small groups. Help maintain a positive, organized, Christ-centered classroom. Encourage students academically, socially, and spiritually. Participate in daily staff devotions and prayer. Qualifications Experience working with children is preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
