Job Description

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team at Sebree Elementary School. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, engage students in meaningful educational experiences, and promote a love for learning. This full-time position requires a commitment to student development and collaboration with staff, parents, and the community to enhance the educational experience. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards and meet the diverse needs of students. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a sense of belonging. Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing, assignments, and observations, providing constructive feedback to support growth. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and strategies for improving student achievement. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and academic needs. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends. Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning atmosphere. Organize and participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and community outreach programs. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation. Requirements Bachelor's degree Valid teaching certification for the appropriate grade level. Proven experience in teaching elementary school students, with a strong understanding of child development and learning processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance student learning. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and contribute positively to the school culture.
