Join Our Team at Wayland Montessori School Wayland Montessori School | Wayland, Massachusetts Early Childhood Education | Toddler & Primary Programs Wayland Montessori School is growing, and we are looking for warm, dependable, and enthusiastic educators to join our community. We are currently hiring for three positions: Montessori Lead Teacher We are seeking an experienced and passionate Montessori-trained Lead Teacher to guide a classroom and create a beautiful, peaceful, and engaging prepared environment.
Ideal candidate:
Montessori training or certification; AMI or AMS preferred Experience working in a Montessori early childhood environment Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy, materials, observation, and classroom management Massachusetts EEC Teacher/Lead Teacher qualification preferred Warm, professional, organized, and confident communicating with families Able to observe children's development and maintain classroom records CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain EEC Essentials 2.0 The Lead Teacher will work closely with classroom assistants and school leadership to maintain an authentic Montessori environment that supports independence, concentration, confidence, and respect. Early Childhood Classroom Assistant We are looking for a caring and dependable EEC-qualified Teacher or Assistant to support our Montessori classrooms. Montessori experience is NOT required. We are happy to train an educator who is curious about Montessori education and eager to learn.
Ideal candidate:
Massachusetts EEC Teacher qualification/certification Experience working with toddlers and/or preschool-aged children Patient, nurturing, dependable, and collaborative Comfortable supporting classroom routines, transitions, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods Interested in learning Montessori philosophy and classroom practices CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain We will provide Montessori training, mentorship, and ongoing professional development opportunities. School Aide / Early Childhood Educator in Training Interested in starting a career in early childhood education? We are also seeking a School Aide who loves working with children and is interested in working toward becoming an EEC-qualified Teacher . Prior Montessori experience is not required. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to learn while gaining hands-on experience in an early childhood setting. We are looking for someone who is: Warm, responsible, patient, and reliable Comfortable working with young children Willing to learn and receive feedback Interested in completing the requirements for Massachusetts EEC Teacher qualification Excited to learn about Montessori education Able to work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team Wayland Montessori will provide on-the-job guidance, professional development support, and assistance as you work toward your EEC qualifications.
