Responsibilities Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for 3rd and 4th grade students, incorporating differentiated instruction to meet varied learning styles. Monitor and assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, analyzing performance data to inform instruction. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing best practices in elementary education. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and developmental progress through meetings and written updates. Support students with special educational needs, including those requiring early intervention or working with individuals with autism, ensuring inclusive classroom practices. Qualifications Proven classroom experience teaching elementary school students, particularly in 3rd and 4th grades. Strong knowledge of childhood development, literacy education, math instruction, and standardized testing procedures. Experience working with children with diverse learning needs, including special education and early childhood education. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and students. Skilled in curriculum implementation, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with educational technology integration and learning technology tools to support instruction. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and monitor student progress using data analysis. Knowledge of educational compliance regulations and experience working in private or Montessori school settings is a plus. Must be certified or in an alternative route to certification program.
