Position:
Lower Elementary Teacher
Job Summary:
To plan and deliver engaging instruction that supports students' academic, social, and emotional development in an elementary learning environment.
Qualifications:
1. Valid State of Michigan teaching certificate 2. Endorsements in Elementary Education 3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators 4. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods 5. Proficiency with educational technology and software
Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop age-appropriate instructional materials, activities, and assessments. 2. Implement a variety of teaching methods and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. 3. Integrate technology effectively into the curriculum. 4. Monitor and evaluate student progress through regular assessments and provide timely feedback. 5. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. 6. Plan and deliver effective instruction aligned with district-provided curriculum. 7. Assess students' proficiency levels, adapt instruction accordingly, and track progress over time. 8. Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, and build strong relationships with students and parents. 9. Collaborate with special education staff as needed to provide students with IEPs, appropriate accommodations, and supplementary aids. 10. Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to parents/guardians. 11. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and district initiatives. 12. Attend staff meetings and collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional strategies.
