An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

About Creation Acres Creation Acres is a joyful, Christian Montessori microschool located in the heart of Mint Hill. We serve students ages 3-15 and offer a rich blend of core academics and enriching classes that spark curiosity, leadership, and creativity. Our student-centered model empowers children to take ownership of their learning and grow with confidence, purpose, and joy. The Role We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Upper Elementary Guide to work with students in grades 4-6. In this role, you'll help create meaningful learning experiences within a thoughtfully prepared environment, guiding students academically, socially, and spiritually in alignment with our mission. What You'll Do Create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that meet students where they are Prepare and maintain a warm, organized Montessori environment grounded in Christian values Guide and mentor students as they build independence, responsibility, and leadership Observe and assess student progress using Montessori-informed practices Collaborate with fellow educators to strengthen and expand curriculum offerings Lead or support enrichment activities that encourage whole-child growth Communicate regularly and positively with families about student progress and classroom life What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree Elementary Montessori certification or experience strongly preferred Experience working with elementary-aged students A heart for mentoring and encouraging young learners Strong lesson planning and curriculum development skills Clear, kind, and confident communication with students, families, and colleagues Ability to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment Familiarity with Montessori philosophy (or a willingness to be trained) Knowledge of literacy instruction is a plus If you love guiding curious minds, value faith-centered education, and are excited to be part of a close-knit school community, we would love to hear from you.
