• Classical Academy is Growing!

Responsibilities:

• Teaching 5th and 6th grade classes
• Develop and deliver engaging Math, and Science lesson plans for 5th and 6th grade
• Teach students a range of Math, and Science topics
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
• Developing flexible, effective teaching tools and methods to help students learn mathematics
• Creating and assigning learning projects, essays, tests, quizzes and homework for students, then grading their performance accurately on these assignments
• Working with students individually if they need extra help and support in their math coursework Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of education

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification or CE in Mathematics, K-6 (Elementary), or K-8, Alternate Route considered
• Proven experience teaching at the middle or high school level
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies
• Proficiency in facilitating
• Experience working with students with special education needs is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
