We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 2nd-3rd Grade Teacher to inspire young learners and foster their academic, social, and emotional growth. In this dynamic role, you will create a vibrant classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. Your expertise will help students develop foundational skills in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies while supporting their individual learning styles and developmental needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys within a collaborative and innovative school community. Our class sizes are 8-10 students with an assigned teaching assistant. We offer duty-free prep and duty-free lunch. Teaching here does not impact PERS payments. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for 2nd-3rd grade students, incorporating differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning styles. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere by managing behavior with proactive strategies and classroom management techniques. Integrate educational technology tools and learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and sharing best practices to ensure cohesive educational experiences. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming activities through parent-teacher conferences and written updates. Support students' social-emotional development by mentoring them in responsible behavior, conflict resolution, and self-regulation strategies. Assist in curriculum implementation across subjects such as literacy education, math, science, social studies, physical education, and arts. Adapt instruction based on individual student needs, including working with students with autism or those requiring early intervention or special education services. Requirements Bachelor's /Master's degree in Education or a related field Proven classroom experience working with young children in an elementary school setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management techniques. Strong background in teaching literacy, math instruction, and integrating educational technology into lessons. Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, colleagues, and the wider school community. Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators while also demonstrating independent initiative. Experience working with individuals with autism and children requiring early intervention is preferred.
