About the Role Magen Ephraim Sephardic Academy (MESA) is hiring a passionate, student-centered Elementary General Studies Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, in-person position at our private Sephardic elementary school in Great Neck, NY, a warm, mission-driven community where educators are empowered to do their best work. What You'll Do Deliver differentiated, standards-aligned instruction in ELA, Math, and Social Studies Design engaging, inquiry-based lessons that develop critical thinkers and curious learners Use data-driven strategies to personalize learning and meet the needs of every student Integrate educational technology to enhance engagement and 21st-century skill-building Cultivate an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom rooted in empathy and respect Collaborate with colleagues in a supportive professional learning community Support the social-emotional development of students alongside academic growth What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred) NYS teaching certification (or eligibility) Experience with differentiated instruction in diverse elementary classrooms Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills Growth mindset, positive attitude, and a collaborative spirit Proficiency with edtech tools and digital learning platforms About MESA Magen Ephraim Sephardic Academy is a private Jewish day school committed to developing the whole child — intellectually, socially, and spiritually.
