An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

As an Elementary Classroom Teacher, you'll be at the heart of our mission creating engaging lessons in reading, math, science, social studies, and more. You'll adapt instruction to meet every child where they are, using creativity, data, and compassion to help each student grow. From designing eye-catching bulletin boards to collaborating with colleagues, you'll help shape a positive, inclusive environment where all kids thrive.

Bachelor's degree (minimum) Current Pennsylvania Department of Education certification A collaborative spirit and commitment to equity Strong communication skills—clear, caring, and consistent Willingness to participate fully in school life, from curriculum planning to after-school activities
