Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education needs, including working with students with autism or those requiring early intervention. Monitor student progress through regular assessments, standardized testing, and performance data analysis to tailor instruction accordingly. Integrate educational technology tools and learning technology platforms to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing curriculum standards such as Montessori or other pedagogical approaches. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavioral concerns, and developmental milestones through parent-teacher meetings and written updates. Support students' social-emotional development by mentoring, providing guidance, and implementing inclusive practices that respect individual learning styles. Coordinate with library services and utilize library resources to promote literacy education and research skills among students. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior reports, progress monitoring data, and compliance documentation related to educational regulations. Requirements Proven experience teaching elementary school students in a classroom setting with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum implementation across core subjects including literacy, math, science, and social studies. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and administrative staff. Strong classroom management skills coupled with behavior management strategies to create a safe learning environment. Experience working with children with diverse needs such as special education requirements or early intervention programs. Knowledge of educational technology integration tools as well as learning styles adaptability techniques. Ability to analyze student performance data to inform instruction and support continuous improvement efforts. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment practices within elementary education frameworks. Certification in elementary education or equivalent credentials recognized by local educational authorities; additional certifications in special education or Montessori methods are advantageous.
