An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Private school is accepting applications for the following position: TNDOE License Kindergarten Teacher (Full-time)
  • Require State of Tennessee Teaching License (Pre-K - 3 grade) .
  • Experienced with five and six year old students.
  • Position requires some experience teaching TNDOE curriculum standard.
  • Degree preferred in ECE or Unrelated Field with experience
  • Small classrooms size (12 to 18 students)
  • Less bureaucracy paperwork, a teacher's dream.
All Candidates must:
  • Love teaching and serving children
  • Good communication skills
  • Working knowledge of State Licensing Standards
  • Professional and hard-work ethic
  • Use technology to strengthen the teaching and the learning process.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through informal testing.
  • Responsible for extracurricular activities as assigned.
Sponsor outside field trip activities as approved by the principal. Must meet all local, or state health requirements. Physical, drug screen test, CPR and First Aid certification required.
