Monday & Wednesday (Part-Time)
Compensation:
$16,400-$20,900 (equivalent to approximately $29.50-$37.00 per contracted hour ), based on education and qualifying teaching experience.
Reports To:
Head of School Position Summary Movement Christian Academy (MCA) is seeking a Christ-centered Kindergarten Teacher to join our growing team for the 2026-2027 school year. MCA is a University-Model® School that partners with parents to disciple and educate children through academic excellence and a biblical worldview. Our teachers provide engaging classroom instruction two days each week while equipping parents to successfully teach on home days through lesson plans, communication, and ongoing support. Because of this unique partnership, our teachers view parents as valued partners in their child's education and discipleship. The ideal candidate loves Jesus, enjoys working with young children, communicates well with families, and is passionate about helping students grow academically, spiritually, and socially. About Our School Movement Christian Academy exists to partner with God and parents to disciple and educate children who embrace God's purposes for their lives through academic excellence, biblical discipleship, and intentional community. As a University-Model® School, students attend classes on campus two days each week and complete teacher-directed assignments at home on the remaining school days. Our teachers play a unique role in both teaching students and equipping parents, creating a strong partnership between school and home. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution. Texas teaching certification preferred. Previous classroom teaching experience preferred; University-Model® experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of early childhood education, literacy, and foundational mathematics. Have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and demonstrate a growing relationship with Him. Believe the Bible is God's inspired Word and the final authority for faith and daily living. Active involvement in a Bible-believing, Spirit-filled church. Agreement with MCA's Vision, Mission, Core Values, Statement of Faith, Moral Integrity, and Conduct. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, classroom management, and technology skills. Collaborative, teachable, and committed to excellence. Essential Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate Kindergarten instruction. Prepare weekly lesson plans and assignment guides for at-home instruction. Build strong partnerships with parents through consistent communication and encouragement. Assess student learning and maintain accurate academic records. Create a classroom culture that reflects biblical truth, joy, order, and excellence. Utilize effective classroom management techniques. Collaborate with administration and fellow teachers to support school-wide initiatives. Attend required meetings, professional development, and school events. Support the mission, vision, and values of Movement Christian Academy.
Pay:
$16,400.00 - $20,859.00 per year
