Duties Develop and implement Montessori-aligned lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles across core subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies. Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and respect for each child's individual learning pace. Assess student performance regularly through observations and other means to tailor instruction effectively. Monitor and document student progress meticulously, providing timely feedback to students and parents to support continuous growth. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques that foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Ensure compliance with educational regulations and standards while maintaining high-quality instruction aligned with Montessori principles. Qualifications Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, other) at elementary level. Proven experience teaching elementary-aged children within a Montessori environment or similar progressive educational setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, early childhood education practices, and special education strategies. Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, colleagues, and administrators effectively. Proficiency in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and foster a respectful learning community. Experience working with children with diverse learning needs, including those requiring early intervention or behavioral support. Writing skills necessary for detailed documentation of student progress reports and instructional plans.
