French Immersion Elementary Teacher (K-3)Job Summary Ettevort International Academy is seeking a passionate, engaging, and highly motivated French Immersion Elementary Teacher to join our growing international school community. This position is ideal for an educator who believes in the power of language immersion to cultivate academic excellence, cultural awareness, and global citizenship. As a French Immersion Elementary Teacher, you will teach core academic subjects—including mathematics, science, social studies, language arts, and other elementary content areas—in French . Rather than teaching French as a single subject, you will provide standards-based elementary instruction with French serving as the primary language of communication and learning. The ideal candidate is energetic, creative, nurturing, and committed to creating an engaging classroom where students develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Responsibilities Teach Kindergarten through 3rd Grade students in a full French immersion environment. Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in mathematics, science, social studies, language arts, and other core subjects in French. Create and implement lesson plans that promote both academic achievement and French language acquisition. Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture that encourages student curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Differentiate instruction to meet the academic and developmental needs of diverse learners. Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments and use data to guide instruction. Integrate educational technology and hands-on learning experiences to enhance student engagement. Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and academic expectations. Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to support curriculum planning and continuous school improvement. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and family engagement activities. Uphold the mission, values, and high academic expectations of Ettevort International Academy. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid teaching certification preferred. Native or near-native fluency in French. Experience teaching elementary-aged students preferred. Previous experience in a French immersion, bilingual, or international school setting is highly desirable. Strong understanding of elementary instructional practices and child development. Excellent classroom management and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English. Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families. Passion for language immersion education and developing globally minded learners.
