In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes holistic child development. Your leadership will ensure that every child receives high-quality care and education, setting a strong foundation for their future learning journey. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, experienced in working with young children, and committed to creating an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning tailored to preschool-aged children. Lead classroom activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and active engagement among toddlers and preschoolers. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns in a clear and supportive manner. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student development and incidents. Supervise and mentor teaching assistants or support staff to uphold high standards of childcare and education. Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that supports childhood development, early intervention strategies, and special education needs when applicable. Skills Extensive experience in early childhood education with a focus on preschool teaching and toddler care. Strong knowledge of child development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques. Proven ability to develop engaging lesson plans aligned with educational standards in literacy, math, physical education, and overall child welfare. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, first aid, CPR certification, and health & safety protocols for young children. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
