The ideal candidates will have a strong background in childhood development and experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children aged 18 months to 3 years. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities, managing classroom behavior, and collaborating with parents to support each child's growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards as well as the Montessori curriculum. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies Provide care for children, including first aid when necessary, ensuring their safety at all times Collaborate with special education staff to support children with disabilities or special needs Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles Experience working with children in a preschool, daycare, or similar setting Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies First aid certification is preferred Experience with special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus Ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching young children Familiarity with toddler care and infant care practices is beneficial Previous experience as a nanny or babysitter can be an asset Join our team where you can make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners!
