Job Description

Position:
Primary Montessori Teacher (Early Childhood, Ages 3-6)
Location:
Richmond, Tx 77407
Start Date:
2026 - 2027 school year We believe Montessori is the best way to help a child develop into their full potential academically and as a world citizen. We are looking for an exceptional individual that has a strong background and experience in a Montessori classroom to join our growing school. Our new teacher needs to have a calm and inviting personality, a professional work ethic, and enjoy being part of a caring, child centered team!
Qualifications:
Our ideal teacher can meet the following criteria:
Education and Experience:
Must be at least 21 years of age High school diploma required; college diploma preferred 1+ year experience in a Montessori classroom, Montessori Primary credential preferred Willing to complete Texas Rising Star training requirements CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to acquireMust pass state background check and FBI Fingerprint Check Bilingual a plus
Characteristics, Skills, and Additional Qualifications:
Ability to relate warmly and respectfully to all children Ability to use appropriate positive discipline Dedication to the Montessori method of education Demonstrate sound judgment regarding safety Possess a strong understanding of child development (ages 3-6) Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals Ability to calmly handle crises as they arise in the classroom Punctuality and ability to maintain school hours Willingness to make student-centered decisions Willingness to foster a harmonious professional teaching team based on mutual respect Willingness to take direction and feedback Commitment to ongoing professional development Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to foster meaningful relationships with families and communicate warmly and professionally with parents daily using provide digital tools
Job Types:

$8.00 - $14.00 per hour
