Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool-aged children. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for implementing engaging curriculum activities that foster learning through play and exploration. This is a 9:30-6:30pm position. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and respect among students. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Provide individualized care and attention to each child, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assess students' developmental progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Organize classroom activities that promote literacy education, social skills, and emotional growth. Maintain an orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing classroom behavior. Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for students. Skills Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Experience in toddler care or working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or private school setting. Knowledge of curriculum development tailored to early childhood education. Familiarity with childhood development principles and best practices in early learning environments. Ability to create engaging literacy education activities that promote reading readiness among young learners. Experience working with diverse groups of students and adapting teaching methods accordingly. Proficiency in maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere while managing student behavior effectively.
