To Be Determined Job Description Poultney Elementary School-Long-Term Sub Second Grade Teacher -PoES School is seeking an anticipated long-term substitute for 2nd grade,for the months of November through March, 2027 (tentative). Our school serves approximately 215 students, grades PreK-6. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes;- Knowledge of elementary research-based best practices in literacy and mathematics
- Knowledge of MTSS and layered instructional practices including data collection
- Knowledge of proficiency-based grading practices
- Knowledge of the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards
- Knowledge of technology integration into the learning environment
- Knowledge of best practices regarding student management protocols
- Knowledge of formative and summative curricular assessments and use of data to inform instruction.
- Knowledge of best practices to support student social-emotional needs including regulation, restorative, and proactive approaches
- Evidence of strong connection with students and families
- Strong communication skills as evidenced through a quality application
- Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License
