Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques. Conduct assessments aligned with standardized testing standards to monitor each child's progress in key areas such as literacy, math, and physical development. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. Incorporate early intervention strategies to support children with special education needs or developmental delays. Maintain detailed lesson plans and documentation of child development instruction activities. Promote inclusive practices that respect diverse backgrounds and individual learning styles. Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times. Experience Prior classroom experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is required. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories, curriculum development, and early childhood education best practices. Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable. Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a positive learning environment. Strong communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and children alike. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young learners is a plus. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire to ensure child safety at all times.
