Provide individualized support to students with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations and assistance. Help maintain a well-organized classroom environment by preparing materials, proofreading educational resources, and managing supplies. Foster effective communication with parents and guardians through updates on student progress and behavior, promoting strong home-school partnerships. Utilize computers and educational technologies to enhance learning experiences and support instructional activities. Support teachers in implementing behavior management strategies and classroom behavior protocols to create a respectful and productive atmosphere. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education practices, and classroom behavior management techniques. Familiarity with educational compliance regulations such as ESSA and understanding of instructional standards for early childhood education. Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and students effectively. Ability to supervise children safely while engaging them in meaningful learning activities. Certifications in first aid and CPR are desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain these certifications is appreciated. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or special needs, including experience with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Proficiency with computers and educational technologies to support classroom instruction.
