An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Immediately Job Description PODER Academy School Building Interventionist and Substitute Teacher (Grades K-6) The Mission PODER Academy Schools are innovative college-prep schools focused on proficiency. Student scores in the core subjects exceed national and state averages. Position Summary PODER Academy is a small-school environment where teachers track individual students and tailor instruction accordingly. There is a heavy focus on classroom management where behavior disruptions are minimized. Seeking creative minds who enjoy working with a variety of subjects and grade levels. Qualifications BA or BS degree in secondary education (any discipline) Able to pass a background check Experience working with 7th-12th grade and/or experience working with diverse students is a plus (not required) Multiple Certifications/Endorsements is a plus (not required) Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus (not required) Responsibilities Develop lesson plans and deliver instruction Provide small group and individual instruction Provide weekly lesson plans to the Principal Collaborate with team members to develop innovative instruction techniques Compensation PODER Academy is offering a competitive salary with excellent benefits (medical & dental for employee and dependents, employer matching retirement with the Wyoming Retirement System) and bonuses.
