The Mechanical Engineering Program at Ave Maria University invites applications for a full-time, open rank, non-tenured faculty position to start in the 2027-2028 academic year. The position requires both research and teaching of Mechanical Engineering subject matters at the undergraduate level in the following areas:

  • Machine Design and Material Sciences
  • Thermal Sciences Preference will be given to candidates with relevant industry and research experience having earned a doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for full consideration. The following documents must be submitted:
  • Cover Letter
  • Curriculum Vitae and List of Publications
  • Graduate and Undergraduate University Transcripts
  • Teaching Philosophy as it Relates to the Apostolic Constitution Ex Corde Ecclesiae
  • Undergraduate Research Statement
  • Three Letters of Recommendation Review of applications will begin in the fall of 2026 and will continue until the position is filled.
