ANNOUNCEMENT

Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for part-time Avionics instructors within the Avionics (AVE) program, within the Technical Education division. Applications will be placed in a pool for review as part-time positions become available.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Part-time faculty in the Avionics department are responsible for teaching the objectives of each course assigned, the assessment of student learning, and reporting of student progress as required by the college.

QUALIFICATIONS

Meets the minimum instructor requirements for any course taught. Requirements vary per individual Avionics (AVE) course. A strong understanding of avionics systems and technologies. Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers, applicable software, and Internet - dependent on the needs of course delivery.

STARTING SALARY

Salary varies based on education level and number of courses taught.

WORK LOCATION

Avionics program courses are offered at the SWIC Belleville and Sam Wolf Granite City campuses.
