The Department of Civil Engineering (CVE) in the College of Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applicationsfor a regular or visiting faculty position at the assistant, associate or full professor level commencing in Fall Semester 2027. Thesuccessful candidate for the regular position will be expected to establish a high level, active research program supported by internal andexternal funding sources. The visiting faculty position are primarily focused on teaching. The visiting position is a one-year renewablecontract and the regular position is a three-year renewable contract. The applicant is required to have a PhD in Civil Engineering ora closely related field and show evidence of a significant teaching portfolio. Excellence in teaching and research, in addition toexperience in the American model of higher education, are highly desirable. Applicants for the regular position should be in the specialtyof construction engineering and management and/or digital construction.
