The Department of Mechanical Engineering (MCE)in the College of Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) invitesapplications for a regular or visiting faculty position at the assistant, associate or full professor level commencing in Fall Semester2027. The successful candidate for the regular position will be expected to establish a high-level, active research program supported byinternal and external funding sources. The visiting faculty positions are primarily focused on teaching. The visiting position is a one-yearrenewable contract. The applicant is required to have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field and show evidence ofa significant teaching portfolio. Evidence of excellence in teaching and research are expected from the candidates. In addition, experiencein the American model of higher education is highly desirable.
