Until Filled Applications are being accepted to establish a pool of qualified candidates for the position of Adjunct Adult Education Instructor � General Education Courses in English (English 101 & 102) at the East Valley Institute of Technology. Sessions generally run for 8 weeks, meeting 2 times per week. Days and times vary each semester. The Adjunct English Instructor teaches college-level English Composition I (ENG 101) and English Composition II (ENG 102) to adult learners enrolled through EVIT's academic programs. The instructor develops students' critical reading, writing, and analytical skills in alignment with college-level learning outcomes, ensuring readiness for postsecondary success and professional communication. This position requires a commitment to student success, professional integrity, and adherence to EVIT policies and procedures.
Salary:
$4500.00 Per Session (3 Credit Class paid at $1500/ Credit)

Non-Exempt, Adjunct Education and Experience:
Master's degree in English or closely related field from an accredited institution. One (1) year of college-level teaching experience is required. A minimum of 18 graduate level credits in English with a grade of "C" or higher.
Preferred Experience:
At least two (2) years of collegiate-level teaching experience. Experience integrating technology and real-world applications into English instruction. Experience working with diverse adult learners and promoting student engagement and persistence. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Experience using Canvas, Google Classroom, and ExamSoft or similar learning management systems. Licensing /
Certification and Other Requirements:
Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Prints (IVP) Level 1 fingerprint card. Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
