Job Description
The Department of Writing Arts seeks qualified adjuncts to teach courses in first-year writing and possibly courses in technical and professional writing. Please see the department website for more information about our first-year writing program and our Writing Arts major. A master's degree is required in the field of Composition/Rhetoric or a related field, such as English, Creative Writing, Literacy Studies, or Urban Education. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience teaching college writing or professional writing, favorable recommendations from references, and favorable previous student evaluations. Language fluency (oral) in Spanish and experience working with developmental writers are particularly desired.
