Instructional Skills:

Plan, develop, present, and modify courses from proposal, to syllabus, to delivery (classroom, hybrid, or online), to assessment, to evaluation. Teach assigned courses Convey knowledge and skills effectively to students. Continue professional development as an educator. Use advanced technologies to expand student resources and learning opportunities. Participate in departmental/program assessment of student learning according to best practices in measurement of student performance objectives and outcomes. Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in pedagogical approaches to a diverse population of students and peers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in English, Writing, Composition, Rhetoric, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in Adult Basic Education (ABE), community college, ESL/ESOL, developmental/remedial education, or equivalent settings

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Writing Studies, Rhetoric and Composition, or Professional Writing Experience teaching writing to a diverse student population, including underprepared, first-generation, or non-traditional learners Familiarity with integrated reading/writing pedagogy and current best practices in developmental or corequisite writing instruction Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard) and online or hybrid course delivery Demonstrated commitment to student-centered instruction and evidence-based assessment practices Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of any employment visa including student visas.
