Full Job Description Description:
Denver Street School is an accredited, private Christian alternative high school that has been successfully working with at-risk youth in the Denver Metro area for more than 30 years. Please see our website at www.denverstreetschool.org for more information about us. We are seeking a qualified secondary teacher for English Language Arts who is also interested in being a student advocate both during and occasionally beyond the school day. Qualified candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree in the subject matter or a related field; license and certification are preferred but not required. The letter should display an awareness of the mission of our unique program as explained on the website. Only resumes with an accompanying letter will be accepted. Position begins immediately. Base pay is $45,000 with a certification plus additional salary per year of prior experience with an additional bonus for a current teaching certification. Teachers are also provided with resources to raise additional personal support, 100% of which goes to the teacher.
