Job Description
Key Qualifications:
Active, valid state teaching license with a Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) endorsement. Bilingual Certification or endorsement (Spanish/English) is required. Previous experience teaching middle school students, preferably in a bilingual or dual-language classroom environment. Strong understanding of culturally responsive teaching and experience developing curriculum for multilingual learners. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with colleagues and engage families.Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging ELA instruction in both English and Spanish to diverse middle school learners. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to reach all students, ensuring equitable access to the curriculum. Adapt lesson plans for bilingual and dual-language instruction, incorporating students cultures and languages as assets. Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies to address individual learning needs. Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, respect, and academic growth.
