6th Grade English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy seeks State Certified English Language Arts Teacher for 6th grade. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Elementary Education, Middle School Education, Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and/or Educational Leadership is a plus. Reading Specialist and/or ESL certification is desirable; 2+ years experience with children in a school setting is preferred. Familiarity with Louisiana Student Standards, the

Assessment, Guidebooks 2.0 and Lucy Calkins' Writing Workshop Model is an asset. Interest in leading extracurricular student activities is a plus. Trainings and workshops in the summer may be required. Position available now.
