Job Description

Mendon Community Schools is hiring a part-time, motivated K-12 English Language Learner (ELL) teacher to join our district. As an ELL Teacher, you will design and implement language instruction, provide support and guidance to ELL students, and collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment. You should be knowledgeable in language acquisition, be patient, and have excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, plan, and implement English instruction for ELL students; Monitor and assess student progress; Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and techniques to maximize student learning; Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop language programs; Provide support and guidance to ELL students; Facilitate parent and community involvement—preferred requirements: Bachelor's degree with an ELL endorsement or TESOL certification. We are willing to help a person gain the endorsement.
