Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our clients in Troy, OH. C198948
Job Information:
Student:
Individual class for a child aged 5 years old
Availability:
Weekdays from 3 pm to 6 pm
Lesson Location:
Troy, OH 45373 (near Troy Freewill Baptist Church on 2482 S Co Rd 25A) Preferred start date:
ASAP Lesson Frequency:
2x or 3x week; 1-hour lessons Current English level: Beginner Native and other spoken languages: Portuguese Student's language needs and goals: He needs to learn the basics of everyday life, as his school English lessons have focused mostly on isolated vocabulary, such as animals and colors, rather than on building real phrases. He needs support with practical communication such as asking for help, saying he needs to use the restroom, or expressing that he is hungry. He enjoys learning through games, which helps him stay engaged, and he would benefit from developing simple conversational skills with native speakers, understanding how school works in the new country, and learning basic safety and emergency language to feel more confident and independent.
Responsibilities:
Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons Developing curricula based on learners' proficiency level and desired outcomes Monitoring students' progress and guiding learners toward learning goals Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
Qualifications:
To have native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language To have a degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field To have a minimum of two years of ESL teaching experience Having experience working with young children is a must All Global LT instructor positions are freelance positions.
