The successful candidate will deliver engaging, rigorous, and grade-appropriate Language Arts instruction while helping students strengthen their reading, writing, communication, and critical-thinking skills. The initial position consists of two 45-minute Language Arts sections from 5:00-6:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday , with the potential for additional sections between 2:30-6:30 p.m. There is also the potential to return for the 2027-2028 academic year with an expanded schedule of up to five periods per day. We are looking for an educator whose passion for teaching, strong classroom management, and knowledge of effective Language Arts instruction will inspire students to develop their skills and confidence. Responsibilities Develop and implement lessons aligned with curriculum standards and clear learning objectives. Formal lesson plans are not required. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, assignments, and student performance in accordance with school policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Language Arts, or a related field. Teaching certification preferred but not required. Prior classroom experience, preferably teaching Language Arts or English at the middle or high school level. Strong knowledge of instructional best practices in Language Arts education. Familiarity with effective behavior-management and classroom-management strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
