The High School English Teacher provides rigorous, culturally responsive English language arts instruction for students in grades 9-12. The teacher develops students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, viewing, research, and critical-thinking skills through the study of literature, nonfiction, language, rhetoric, and composition.Qualifications:
Hold a New Jersey instructional English Teacher certificate Demonstrated knowledge of secondary English language arts curriculum, adolescent literacy, writing instruction, literary analysis, and research-based instructional practices. Ability to plan and deliver differentiated instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, multilingual learners, and students receiving academic intervention. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and community stakeholders.Working Conditions:
