The ESL Program at SUNY Orange is widely recognized throughout Orange County for offering quality instruction on multiple levels. The program is an academically based adult education program. SUNY Orange Plus is seeking a part-time ESL Instructor to teach various ESL levels both virtual and in-person at the Middletown and Newburgh campuses. Instruction is scheduled primarily during morning or evening hours. Level 1 Intensive classes meet four days per week.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Minimum of three years of experience teaching adults in an educational setting Knowledge of assessment techniques to determine reading, writing, speaking and listening skills Knowledge of material used to teach Grammar Strong classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in ESL An advanced degree in

ESOL TESOL

certification Extensive experience teaching multiple ESL levels
