Job Description Grades 9-12

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide standards-aligned English as a New Language (ENL) instruction to high school multilingual learners.

Collaborate with content-area teachers to support students through co-teaching, scaffolding, and differentiated instruction.

Develop and implement lessons that strengthen students' academic language, literacy, and content knowledge.

Monitor student progress and use assessment data to adjust instruction and provide targeted support.

Maintain accurate student records and communicate regularly with families, teachers, counselors, and administrators.

Support an inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment that values students' diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Dates of Leave:

Effective approximately November 11, 2026, to approximately mid-February, 2027

Job Qualifications Required Certification:

Candidates must possess a valid NYS teaching certificate in English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), All Grades, or be eligible for appropriate New York State certification
