This individual will analyze students' academic needs and prepare them for college, career, and civic success. The successful candidate will plan and teach curriculum-aligned courses and collaborate with colleagues while encouraging the potential in every student. This teacher will be responsible for the overall coordination of instruction in their subject area, including executing well-developed lesson plans, accurately assessing student progress, and actively participating in school and district functions.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

3-5 years of relevant classroom teaching experience at the high school level, with an understanding of adolescent developmental, social, and academic needs Bachelor's degree required ; advanced degree preferred Current PA Secondary English Certification (7-12) Demonstrated understanding of educational technology integration in the classroom Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional strategies for diverse learning styles and abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation, listening, and observational skills Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, parents, volunteers, and administrators from diverse backgrounds Ability to navigate challenging situations with discretion and diplomacy Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Passion for improving student outcomes and well-being Commitment to ongoing professional development and best instructional practices Willingness to be an active, enthusiastic member of the Chichester community
