Job Description

Head Start Teacher Position Are you a self stater? Are you someone who likes making difference in children's lives by high quality preschool program that focus on parent and child development?? Then Families First of Minnesota is the place for you! We are looking for Head Start Teacher for full time and part time year at our Mount Olive location in Rochester MN!!! This position is primarily responsible for the classroom and implementing curriculum based on the children and families' needs and interests. This includes, but is not limited to, weekly lesson and activity planning based on approved curriculum, screening children's educational goals and implementing individualized plans. This position supervises the Assistant Teacher and Program Assistant in their assigned classroom.
Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of an Associate's degree (A.A.) in Early Childhood Education or a related field with qualifying coursework or experience in an early childhood setting. Head Start and Families First of Minnesota offers continuing education opportunities for individuals seeking to obtain an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in the field of Early Childhood Education. The individual in this position must meet Head Start Teacher qualifications. This exempt position is scheduled 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M. with occasional evening events. Compensation is based upon education level, starting at $26.70/hour. Benefits include Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Life, Long-Term Disability and 403(b) Retirement Savings, in addition to, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays and personal holidays. Head Start parents are encouraged to apply and will be given preference based on qualifications.
