Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active New York State teaching license or teaching certification (any subject area); genuine interest in teaching Art is key Previous experience as a General Education or Art Teacher, or as a Teacher's Assistant, is highly valued Enthusiasm for engaging students through creativity and encouraging artistic expression Willingness and ability to travel between Hornell, Greenwood, and Bath, NY, as part of your weekly schedule Strong classroom management and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, developmentally-appropriate art lessons to students at varying age levels (specific grades will be assigned prior to the start date) Adapt lesson plans to suit diverse learning needs and abilities within the classroom Encourage participation, creativity, and appreciation for the visual arts Provide a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that nurtures students' confidence and skill-building Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and fellow educators to ensure a seamless educational experience
