A Graduate Teaching Assistant supports a professor in teaching a university class by leading discussion sections, tutorial groups, preparing lectures and course materials, and grading student work.
INSTRUCTORS, to teach the youth how to break! Must be a bgirl/bboy who has a passion for teaching. Our curriculum specializes in breakin' (we do not offer hip-hop classes). We teach after school classes to kids throughout Portland (most teaching hours are between 1 PM - 6 PM, 1-3 hours per day, Monday-Friday and Saturday mornings from 9 AM - 11 AM).

Requirements:
Complete our online application (see above, separate link from Indeed - required for interview consideration). Must have reliable transportation (we are mobile, teaching at various sites). Be a bgirl or bboy with sufficient breaking experience (solid fundamentals; pay is dependent on experience). Prior teaching experience with grades TK-6th, or some experience working with the youth is preferred (pay is dependent on experience; paid training). Must learn & adhere to our introductory WeeBreaker breaking curriculum and moves. Must learn & understand WeBreak's teaching methods. Must be available during 1 PM - 6 PM after school teaching hours (Monday-Friday) , for 1-3 hours of teaching (a minimum of 3 week days). Responsibilities:
Attend weekly/monthly team meetings (online) Clock in on-time & teach assigned classes (in-person) Take attendance at each class Attend & assist at company events (i.e. monthly battles, recital) Provide in a timely manner & stick to consistent teaching schedule Communicate any issues or status updates to your supervisor promptly
