Are you a kid at heart? Do you enjoy teaching? Performance? Science!? Mr. Bond, Science Guy is seeking a contract Edutainer (Educator + Entertainer) to support our mission to inspire every child to love science! This role has two key elements: science education and preparing Lab materials for our programs.

Role Overview:

Lab Work (approx. 2-5 hours a week) @ $20/hour Coordinate and prepare kits for programs, maintain backstock, and order materials. Communicate with team members to ensure all programs have material needs. Maintain a safe and tidy working environment for all on-site personnel. Instruct new team members on Lab procedures. Program Instruction (varies week to week based on schedule) @ $50-75/program Learn and perform entertaining science demonstrations that educate and inspire audiences. Travel to schools, libraries, and other venues to deliver programs. Tailor presentations and classroom management to suit different age groups and learning styles. Maintain a fun and energetic atmosphere during performances to keep audiences engaged.

Qualifications:

Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, reach overhead, and stoop. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to travel with a reliable vehicle and driver's license. Strong organizational skills and ability to plan ahead. Flexible schedule. Passion for science and education. Creativity and a fun-loving attitude. Experience working with kids ages 3-12 in some capacity required. Experience in teaching, improv, acting, or performing is highly desirable.
