Responsibilities may include leading review sessions, holding office hours, answering student questions, preparing course materials, and maintaining course records. The Teaching Assistant works closely with faculty to promote a positive and effective learning environment while demonstrating professionalism and strong communication skills. Essential Job Functions Assist faculty with undergraduate engineering courses by supporting classroom instruction, laboratory activities, and discussion sessions. Grade assignments, quizzes, exams, and laboratory reports while providing constructive feedback to students. Hold office hours to answer questions, explain course concepts, and provide academic support. Assist with course preparation, including developing instructional materials, maintaining course management systems, and organizing classroom resources.
