ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparation & delivery of an approved curriculum based on institutional coursework, lesson plans, and syllabi. Regularly monitor student attendance and academic progress. Maintain communication with all students including those who are deemed academically at-risk Work with students to address any issues that may impede their academic progress. Respond to student retention and classroom management issues. Promote a positive academic learning environment with professional appearance and attitude. Cultivate cooperative learning by maintaining academic standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree or greater in the health sciences field (Ultrasound related is MUST/highly desirable). Completion of Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) certification Current active registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in one of the following: Musculoskeletal Echo Vascular Technology (RVT) At least four (4) years min professional & practical experience working as an Ultrasound Technician/Medical Diagnostic Sonographer. Must be able to demonstrate a command of theory and practice, contemporary knowledge, and continuing study in their field. Technical expertise in all of the subjects in which the Faculty member will be teaching. Knowledge and understanding of the professional career paths and demands of the field. Ability to inspire students to the highest level of achievement. Motivation and enthusiasm for teaching and having sensitivity to student needs and interests. Passion for helping students to attain their career goals. Teaching experience is highly desirable.
