Position description UCSF School of Medicine and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Pediatrics Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence Faculty Series The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals is recruiting faculty at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor ranks in the Adjunct, Clinical X, Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, and In Residence faculty series. Academic rank and series will be commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications and experience. The selected candidate will join a major academic medical center and an established fellowship training program. This position may include clinical responsibilities at both the San Francisco and Oakland campuses and will actively contribute to the Department's mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care. Candidates with interests in inpatient or outpatient pediatric infectious diseases, transplant infectious diseases, HIV medicine, global health, quality improvement, clinical research, or medical education are encouraged to apply. We are especially seeking candidates with interest in antimicrobial stewardship and/or hospital epidemiology and infection prevention, within which there are opportunities for leadership. Required Qualifications MD, DO, or equivalent degree. Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of California. Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in clinical care. Commitment to working collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Preferred Qualifications Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatrics. Demonstrated interest in academic pediatrics and clinical education. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Experience teaching and/or supervising medical students, residents, and fellows. Demonstrated interest in quality improvement, patient safety, clinical investigation, or other scholarly activities. For positions that are 51% effort or more: The total compensation for this position ranges from $137,800- 300,000.
